(Because denial only works until about 9:37 A.M.)

How to know your day is going to be a doozy:
1. You woke up mid-apology.
You’re not even sure who you were apologizing to, your kids? your hormones? your dog? Doesn’t matter. You meant it.
2. The coffee betrayed you.
It tastes like regret, and even though you made it strong enough to strip paint, it’s still not doing its job. You’re three sips away from calling HR (which is also you) to file a complaint.
3. You’ve already cried, yelled, and eaten carbs, in that order.
Bonus points if it all happened before brushing your teeth.
4. Your “inner peace” took a personal day.
You tried deep breathing, but it turned into sighing, and then just... groaning.
5. Someone said “good morning,” and you took it personally.
Why are they so chipper? What do they know that I don't?
6. The mirror staged an intervention.
You caught your reflection and whispered, “We’re doing our best,” but even she didn’t look convinced.
7. Your to-do list reads like a cry for help.
“Call doctor. Pay bills. Figure out what’s for dinner. Fix personality.”
8. You Googled “how to fake your own disappearance (ethically).”
Spoiler: there’s no ethical way, but you spent twenty minutes researching it anyway.
9. Your brain tabs are multiplying.
You’re currently thinking about your teenager’s grades, your father’s cholesterol, your last menstruation, and whether or not you locked the door.
10. You’re writing this list in your head instead of doing your actual job.
But look at you, multitasking through the madness. Somewhere between chaos and caffeine, you’re still showing up.
And honestly, that counts as stable… ish.
